Softening Soaps
I have been using a variety of Lush products lately which offer some very good benefits, especially for keeping you soft and clean. As a result of trying and using a variety of Lush products, I thought I would share my experiences using these soaps. This post aims to list some soaps you should give a try when you next shop there online or in-store.
Please note that this post is only my views and shouldn’t be taken as professional skin advice hence please speak to somebody who knows about skin products if you need specific skin advice.
Product Reviews – Lush
All Lush products, it is made from natural ingredients that are not tested on animals. If you want a clear conscience when selecting, buying, or using your soaps, these are great choices – Lush does have the best ethics for animals and the environment!
If you have products you would like to share, please feel free to post them in the comments below and I will try and give them a try.
Never Felt Cleaner – 13 soap unlucky for dirt
Rating: 5/5
This soap is not advertised for the body, but it works well if you choose to use it on your body. The review I wrote below just covered this with comparisons to other brands you can get off shelves in normal supermarkets, etc. I would say whether or not you get this for your hands, body or face, this will work very well.
I received this as a present for my birthday from my parents and I am never going back to anything else. The soap is subtle and has a great scent, making this a great choice for people who do not like too strong smells. It has great ingredients in them too, which is not too harsh on the skin, with the bonus of anti-bacterial which has cleaned up spots on my body.
Whilst this is slightly more expensive than some soap bars you can buy from the likes of Tesco, Boots, etc, this one exceeds well in keeping your body clean and is excellent value for money.
Lip Scrub – Caketastic!
Rating: 5/5
Received this one from my girlfriend for my birthday and was not disappointed. On first use, I did make a bit of a mess due to how I scooped it out but since I have used it more, the wasted scrub has been less. The lip scrub tastes great and exactly like birthday cake and always makes my lips feel smooth and dryness free!
I would recommend getting this (when available) for someone on their birthday, especially with the flavour of this lip scrub. Hope that Lush will consider making this a permanent part of their product line as this would be immensely popular!
Kalamazoo – Great for the Beard
Rating: 5/5
What can I say, this one gets the job done! I received this one as a gift for my birthday to help keep my face nice and clean. It did a fantastic job and my face and beard have never felt any softer since I started using it. The main reason this does a good job is that it gets right into the skin, even around the beard where it is often much harder to clean.
I would consider buying this if you do not want to worry about buying beard balm, oil, etc. as this one will leave your beard feeling very soft after every use. While it is costly at £17 for a large tub, you will not regret it as it does a phenomenal job on your face and beard!
Rub Rub Rub – Best Smelling Shower Scrub
Rating: 5/5
Do you want something to scrub all that dead skin off your body? Well, look no further as Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub is the cleaning product you need! It has a sea mineral-style smell to it, which is a refreshing and clean smell to have in your arsenal of soaps. The soap is great for the body and just as effective for your hair if you need to scrub your scalp at all.
It also is a flexible scrub to use whether you want to put it on before showering for a strong exfoliation or use it in the shower for a lighter exfoliation is up to you, but you will not be disappointed either way. I would recommend getting this for anyone you think needs an exfoliation treatment for their body.
Soak and Float
Rating: 5/5
I had previously written a review here but have since used it more and more. The soap never still fails to do a fantastic job at gently washing my hair and beard without being too overly rough on the skin. Soak and Float was one of the first soaps I enjoyed getting from Lush and have continued to buy it since.
In addition, the soap is great for people with sensitive hair and face as this isn’t too strong or overwhelming for hair. Overall, this soap is very softening so if you want soft hair or even a soft beard, I recommend that you give this soap bar a try.
More to Come!
